TRAINING & REGISTRATION 2025-26

To all club members, it's almost hockey season - time to dust off those sticks and get ready!

Training dates

Adults: Pre-season starts this this Thursday (21st Aug) 7.00-8.30 pm. First four sessions are 1.5 hrs to sharpen up stick skills. From 18th Sept, training returns to 7.30-8.30 pm.

Juniors: Sessions kicks off 18th Sept, 6.30-7.30 pm.

Membership updates

Adult membership: no change (good news!).

Umpiring: Increasing from ~£12 to £20 per match. Interested? Contact us on our website.

Junior membership: a small rise from £60 → £66 (when paid in full).

Member registration

It's that time again - if you're playing, training, or volunteering this season, you must complete the online member registration form:
2025-26 Member Registration Form

This is required for:

- Insurance cover
- Emergency contact details

Important reminders

- Membership fees due by 30th Sept
- All players must be registered on England Hockey’s GMS: gms.englandhockey.co.uk

Our AGM will be held at The Seven Stars, PE15 9PS on Monday, 9th June, 7.30pm

A list of committee positions and a form to nominate yourself or others for a position can be found here: MTHC | Committee Nomination Form

We depend on our volunteers for the club to be able to run so please don't hesitate to put your name forward for a position if you think you can help.

The deadline for nominations and proposals is Saturday 7th June.

In Loving Memory of Mark Jarvis: A Tribute to a Beloved Umpire, Coach, and Friend

We are very sad to have received the tragic news of the sudden, unexpected death of Mark Jarvis. Mark is known to some of us as a Level 3 umpire and coach, friend, ex RAF and keen fisherman! From during his days in the RAF until present day he has umpired hockey at the highest level and coached many budding new umpires, often travelling around the world giving many hours to a sport he loved. He and his wife, Karen, helped us celebrate our recent 50 th anniversary where he talked enthusiastically about providing coaching for our own umpires. Karen has previously been a member of the club, playing for several years for the ladies’ section; she was captain of our Ladies 2XI before moving away with Mark due to his RAF posting in Oxfordshire. She later returned to playing for a while after they moved back to the area when Mark retired from the RAF.

We would like to send heartfelt condolences to Karen and their daughter, Hannah. Mark was the most kind, thoughtful, caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
